Lead UX Designer

We are currently hiring for an experienced UX Designer to lead the development of a new interface that will bring the power of our leading knowledge graph and semantic reasoning engine, RDFox, to a wider audience.

Your impact

Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, you will be responsible for the complete user experience of a new user interface that will play a pivotal role in the growth of the company. To achieve this, you will be tasked with running a process to discover what end users really want from the product, and to produce highly ergonomic designs to meet their needs.

As the most senior designer at OST, the work you do will set the tone for how design work is done going forwards and you will have direct input on product and even company strategy.

What you will work on

Your number one priority will be to provide designs for the new interface, in line with the business objectives. This will involve conducting user research, undertaking the hands-on design of user interactions and visuals, and interfacing with the marketing team on how to present and position the new product. You will also have responsibility for updates to OST’s existing graphical user interfaces, where needed.

What we are looking for

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in UX design leadership, including management of end user discovery and feedback, and working collaboratively cross-team.
  • A strong track record of delivering visually appealing experiences – supporting evidence would be welcome.
  • Aptitude for working with complex data and presenting it simply – RDFox is used in data-intensive applications.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize own effort in pursuit of the business objectives.
  • Motivation to take a leading role on a greenfield project and help bring it from concept to maturity.
  • Experience with Figma would be beneficial but you will also have freedom to select your tools.
